National Young People's Union
The 8th Annual National Youth/Music Conference will convene on Thursday, December 27, 2007 through Saturday, December 29, 2007 in Lexington, KY. The theme for this year’s meeting is “How Long?” Hotel Accommodations Reservations can be made under the “House of God” block at the Radisson Plaza Hotel Lexington. The Radisson is located at 369 West Vine Street, Lexington, KY 40507. The rooms are $51 per night (+ tax) for up to 4 persons in a room. To make reservations, call 1.800.333.3333. The deadline date for registration at the Radisson Plaza Hotel is November 27th. Additionally, Lady Juanita Dailey has a block of rooms at the Embassy Suites for $89 per night (+ tax) if we book a MINIMUM of 25 rooms. To assist Lady Dailey, Sis. Rhonda Gaines of Gordonsville, VA is gathering names and the number of rooms you require for the Embassy Suites to verify that we can meet that minimum. Please email or call Sis. Rhonda at 804-338-6000 with your name and the number of rooms you will need for the Embassy Suites. The deadline for the block of rooms at the Embassy Suites is 11/28/07. National Youth Fast We are asking that all youth fast from sundown Tuesday to sundown Wednesday for seven (7) weeks preceding the conference. The fast will begin on Tuesday, November 13th and end on Wednesday, December 26th. Bar Mitzvah Ceremony Attached you will find the 2007 Bar Mitzvah Registration Form which needs to be returned to the secretary as well as the 2007 Bar Mitzvah Candidate Requirements which needs to be given to each candidate. Please make copies and give one to each individual candidate. Forms must be filled out completely and signed by both the candidate and the pastor. It is very important that the registration form is submitted to Sis. Tarrance Jackson by Monday, December 10, 2007. Names submitted AFTER the above date will not be printed in the program. In addition, name badges and certificates will be printed for each Bar Mitzvah candidate that participates in the ceremony so it is imperative that the information is submitted by the deadline date of December 10th.
